Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne

I first came to adore Black Sabbath’s music in November 2016 when I was listening to their music on my mobile phone where the Youtube video “War Pigs” was playing. That Black Sabbath song especially cheered me up in the villa I was staying at by myself in Lovedale which is in NSW, Australia. That villa was and still is a part of accommodation called “Hunter Valley Hill Top Country Guest house and Villas”.

Before listening to Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” I’d been feeling very dejected because of two reasons: 1. I’d driven all the way up to Lovedale by myself in a seven-hour drive to stay at the villa. I was supposed to go to a rock concert titled “A Day At the Green” in Bimbadgen, NSW with a host from a Meetup group called “Music Giggers” but he decided to cancel the last week before the concert and I was also supposed to go to the concert with another lady in the Meetup group, but she also cancelled (so in the end I decided to go to the concert by myself). 2. I got lost finding the villa at night, so I rested in the back seat of my car near a house from about 11pm to 3am which I thought was the accommodation place, but it wasn’t, then two hours later I tried to sleep but only managed to get some rest in the back seat of my car again near a villa which was near to the villa which I’d been booked into from about 3am to 6am. Then at about 7am I spoke to a lady in her senior years who was in charge of “Hunter Valley Hill Top Country Guest house and Villas”. She then let me into my villa that was called “Kookaburra” which I felt very grateful for.

So, one of the highlights of my holiday at the villa in Lovedale in NSW, Australia was me spending a lot of time re-listening to Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” music video on Youtube on my mobile phone.

Black Sabbath – War Pigs

My 2002 experiences with Black Sabbath music

I remember in 2002 that my friend recorded onto a cassette tape a best of Black Sabbath CD. Back then I really wasn’t interested in the music on the cassette because I thought that a lot of their songs only contained about three guitar chords which didn’t impress me. The songs I remember which only contained about three chords included Changes, Paranoid, Iron Man and NIB. So, I got bored of the tape after a short while. Ultimately Black Sabbath’s music didn’t interest me for a long time.  By the way, someone informed me in 2003 that the chords are power chords, which I’m not sure means.

My 2021-present experiences with Black Sabbath music

Since late 2021 to now I’ve really admired and enjoyed listening to and watching a lot of Black Sabbath’s music videos on Youtube. Listening to Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne’s music videos on Youtube has made me feel happy and lifted my spirits on numerous occasions when I’ve been feeling down.  Mostly because to me a lot of their music is so upbeat and boppy. I especially like songs from the following Black Sabbath albums:

My favourite Black Sabbath albums
  • Paranoid – 1970
  • Master of Reality – 1971
  • Black Sabbath Vol 4 -1972
  • Sabbath Bloody Sabbath – 1973
  • Sabotage – 1975
  • WAR PIGS
  • PARANOID
  • PLANET CARAVAN
  • HANDS OF DOOM
  • FAIRIES WEAR BOOTS

  • SWEET LEAF
  • AFTER FOREVER
  • EMBRYO
  • SOLITUDE
  • CHILDREN OF THE GRAVE
  • LORD OF THIS WORLD
  • INTO THE VOID

  • WHEELS OF CONFUSION
  • TOMORROW’S DREAM
  • CHANGES
  • SNOWBLIND
  • CORNUCOPIA
  • UNDER THE SUN

My experiences with Ozzy Osbourne’s music from 2021 to now

From 2021 to 2023 I got to discover lots of Ozzy Osbourne music videos on Youtube which I’ve immensely liked watching and listening to.  I enjoy listening to and watching numerous of Ozzy’s live music videos from the early 1980s which include: “I don’t know”, “Crazy Train” and “Mr Crowley” from 1981, and “Over the mountains” live in 1983 from the US Festival.   I haven’t had the chance to watch any live music from his from the late 1980s to beyond. However, I did get to listen to his latest CD titled “Patient Number 9”, yeah well, I thought that it was pretty good.  I especially like the song patient number 9 because the song resonates with me.  I felt like I really needed to go to a mental hospital in late 2020 but didn’t due to suffering from bad insomnia for five months and major pain issues in several areas of my body plus not getting much help from anyone for months on end, I was basically on my own.

My brief number of thoughts on the TV series The Osbournes

I didn’t watch the Osbournes when it was on Tv from 2002 – 2005 and I only watched some episodes of it on Youtube this year.  What I’ve thought of the episodes so far is that I like:

  • how dysfunctional the Osbourne family are in them.
  • how the teenage kids Kelly and Jack fight a lot.
  • how the Osbournes help each other out when needed.
  • the rebellious things Kelly, Jack and Sharon the mother do. For example Sharon attempts to wee into Jack’s bottle which has alcohol in it.
  • how the Osbournes swear a lot as I swear frequently, and I wasn’t allowed to swear around my parents growing up.

I don’t like how on a couple of occasions, I see Kelly yelling at Sharon and then a friend of Jack’s Dill saying “don’t talk down to me “ to Sharon which to me that shows a lack of respect towards an adult which I’m not impressed by.

The Osbournes

That’s all I have to say about Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne and The Osbournes. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog.

I obtained all of my photos and images for this blog from different web sites. All the videos are YouTube videos.
